Day 38- Let Yourself Off The Hook

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
~Psalm 139:14

Do you ever hear that voice in your head, telling you that the mistake you just made was of epic proportions? Is your “self-talk” sometimes condemning or do you sometimes put yourself down?  What are the words that you say to yourself?  Do you ever call yourself stupid, or maybe you tell yourself, “that was dumb.”

If this is a concern for you I have a solution. Let yourself off the hook and begin to see yourself as God does.  What does God’s Word say about that big-silly-should-have-known-better-mistake you just made?  FORGIVEN and FORGOTTEN.

Yes we are fearfully and wonderfully made… and in His image too.  How then can we condemn ourselves when the very God who made us, promised to finish the work that He began.  While we admittedly are not 100 percent yet; this truth remains, there is NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ.  So today, let’s celebrate that our balance is zero, because the price (for sin) was paid in full.  We’re off the hook and free to serve.
