Empowering Christian Women To Get Organized and Discover God's Plan for Their Lives

Organizing the Inside – Day 198 Building Partnerships

3Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. 4Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. Romans 12:3-6 (NLT)

Why do some Christians succeed in their goals where others seem to struggle? Perhaps because successful people understand the importance of having the right people to help carry out their plans. If God has given you a vision and you intend to be successful carrying out that vision; make certain you look for those resources that will help you succeed. True go-getters have learned the valued principle of partnership, and they seem to easily tap into the talents, abilities, gifts and skills of others. There is nothing wrong with being an independent business woman who knows how to make things happen; but we mustn’t confuse independence with the inability to foster community or build a consensus around a common goal.

Christians who progressively move forward see the gifts and talents of others as a plus not a negative. They have a unique ability to bring out the best in others. Having the most talented team of supporters should only strengthen your effectiveness and not threaten it.  As you pursue your goals based upon God’s plan for your life, keep in mind the importance of having a support system that will help keep things moving forward. Certainly God is our source, but we must be on the lookout for talented people in our Christian community who can help make the vision a reality. The Body of Christ is comprised of many members each who deliver service in a different way. Great visionaries know how to create an environment that foster growth in others; one in which others can thrive and be successful by maximizing their potential. Look for talent and seek ways to help others grow and use their talents to the glory of God. Remember the principle of agreement; there is great power to get results when we agree. “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. Matthew 18:19
