Day 40- An Authentic Journey

Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

As I imagined living my dreams of becoming a school teacher, I’d line up all my dolls and stuffed animals along with my younger sister in rows of six as our bedroom transformed into a classroom. I’d hand out lessons for the day and make sure everyone was paying close attention because there was much to cover before lunch.

Even as a child God was making me authentic, all the things I imagined, all the things I experienced,  even those experiences that hold hard memories,  make me who I am today.  He knew me in my mother’s womb and called me before I was born. He’s always been there directing my steps.  Once I became a Christian my journey became more intentional for me because that was when I decided to pursue God’s plans.

Yep, I know it’s true for each of us, God created us to live life on purpose.  If we dare to believe we are who He’s called us to be then, we’d see the richness of possibilities found in living our authentic selves.  When God tells you to go left, go. There may be signs telling you to “Detour“, but His sheep know His voice, so listen carefully. He will always lead you on a clear path of truth for His name’s sake. Let’s enjoy this journey as God is using it to making us our authentic selves.
