Organizing the Inside – Day 217 Answering The Call Of Wisdom

1Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?  2On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; 3beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud: 4“To you, O men, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind.
5You who are simple, gain prudence; you who are foolish, gain understanding.  6Listen, for I have worthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right. 7My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness.  8All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. 9To the discerning all of them are right; they are faultless to those who have knowledge. 10Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, 11for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. 12“I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.
Proverbs 8:1-12 (NIV)

I realized something that I’m not certain I clearly understood before; the value of wisdom.  God wants me to do my very best to gain wisdom and get understanding.  Wisdom is living the Word; it is putting into practice what you learn; knowledge being lived out in one’s life. I’ve come to understand that God sees wisdom as supreme. It ranks higher than many things that I’ve spent my time pursuing. While to some this may seem an elementary principle in the things of God; I am delighted to discover a much deeper truth behind this most important priority in my spiritual journey.

I want to invest more money, time, and focus in one thing that God has placed high value upon; wisdom and understanding.  Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.  Though it cost all you have, get understanding.  Proverb 4:7 (NIV) This, for me adds considerably more value to a coach’s word, or a teacher’s insight, or a mother’s instructions that I did not fully embrace before.

I think life is so much more complicated because we don’t always choose the way of wisdom. You see Jesus is the wisdom in the book of Proverbs. As I look for ways to make my life simpler, I know that getting that which is supreme will help me avoid a lot of obstacles that most likely would have obscured my path. Today I answered the deeper call of wisdom.

Organizing the Inside – Day 84 Agreeing with God-The Beginning of Success

In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty.
~ Proverbs 14:23

Working hard to meet your goals will bring about success.
In order to experience success you must be able to define it.  One person’s definition of success is different from another’s. Define what success looks like to you.  If a certain social status, a godly household or a warehouse to feed the homeless is your definition of success then make sure you can define what that looks like. The greatest success we could ever have is to agree with God’s plan for our lives and get busy doing it.

Consider making a vision board that will help you imagine living God’s plan for your life. The ability to form images in your mind is a gift from God and He’s given the gift of imagination to help fuel your faith.  A good vision board reminds you of what you’re working toward achieving in this life.

Purpose inspires productivity.
Many well-meaning Christians work hard every day without having clear goals or knowing their purpose. I’m speaking beyond just going to work to pay bills; that is not God’s purpose for your life. You may say that not everything has to be tied to a greater meaning. Let me remind you of the scripture found in the book of Romans: which teaches us that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose. This tell me that we should each be focusing our hard work toward goals that will bring about change, first in you and then in the hearts and lives of others.

Planning makes no difference without execution.
Making plans is only a small part of beginning to fulfill your purpose.  If you want to see your plans come to life then you must act upon those plans.  The most elaborate plans are left on shelves or stored in dust-covered shoe boxes which are filled with broken dreams and deferred hope.  Planning and execution is where you generally can separate those who talk about what they’re going to do and those who actually do what they do. God doesn’t want our lives to consist of a long list of unexecuted plans and excuses. Start today to plan your work and work your plan.  Organize your goals by making a list of things to execute over the next few weeks.  Start small and work your way up.  As you begin to act upon your plans your excitement will help refuel your resolve to get things done.

God never promised that this road would be easy.
He did promise that He would always be there to help us in our time of need.  He promised that the tools we needed to be successful would be provided.  There is much work to be done and all of creation is rooting for your success. Get organized, simplify your life and accelerate your success by saying yes to what God has already told you to do then go do it.

Day 42- I Keep Making the Same Mistake

The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their food in the summer;  ~Proverbs 30:25

Dear Lord, I can’t find my keys again, and the mail has piled up so that my bag now needs to go into a box or a bigger bag.  One of the biggest mistakes many busy women make creates stress that God never intended them to experience.  God demonstrates just how organized He is throughout the scriptures.  With so many examples of instructions that were given that required one to “follow the plan”, we should be clear about God’s intent for us to have order in our lives.

God made plans to redeem man long before the foundation of the earth. Even the ants are productive during the summer because they know that winter is coming and they must be prepared.

If the ants – so tiny, so smart can make preparations for the future, then we too can plan ahead to make sure we aren’t distressed when we should be at ease.  Decide now that you will stop making the same old mistake of not taking time to make plans and organize yourself.  I find this is one of the most common mistakes my clients repeat; not taking time out to restore order or make proper plans.  If you can’t find your keys again today, plan for a solution. Have duplicates made that you can leave with a neighbor or trusted friend.  STOP, and make plans for a solution so you can move forward without so much unnecessary stress.

Day 36- Today I Answered the Call of Wisdom

1Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?  2On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; 3beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud: 4“To you, O men, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind.

~Proverbs 8:1-12

I realize something today that I’m not certain I clearly understood before; the value of wisdom.  God wants me to do my very best to gain wisdom and get understanding.  Wisdom is living the Word; it is putting into practice what you are taught; knowledge being lived out in one’s life. I’ve come to understand that God see wisdom as supreme. It ranks higher than many things that I’ve spent my time pursuing.

I want to invest my money, time, and focus in one thing that God has put high value upon; wisdom and understanding.  Proverb 4:7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.  Though it cost all you have, get understanding. This, for me adds considerably more value to a coach’s word, or a teacher’s insight, or a mother’s instructions that I did not fully understand before.

As I look for ways to make my life simpler, I know that getting that which is supreme will help me avoid a lot of obstacles that most likely would have obscured my path.
