One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4 (KJV)
Oh, if you could only had one prayer, one dream, or one vision to hope for what would it be? There are so many needs, so many wants and aspirations. The Word of God provides us with clear guidance, “But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 (KJV) The bible says that David was a man after God’s own heart. (1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22) David shared his heart’s desire when he said …that I may dwell in the house of the Lord…
What do you seek after? What is your heart’s single deepest desire? It’s so easy to get caught up in the cares of this life and lose sight of what’s most important. There is no project, or goal or dream that is worth devoting your hearts greatest desire to other than loving God. May we each discover the simplicity in loving Him. Let us each unbend our mind from the futile cares of this life and devote our heart toward daily seeking His kingdom. When all is said and done; when our last words are written, may we be found beholding His beauty and inquiring in His temple.
Hi Liz, I would honestly say my one thing is ” to capture God’s heart” I want to be pleasing to Him in every way. I have become more sensitive in my conversations with Him lately.
I strive to follow His commandments and to love others without being provoked, or allowing my fleshly emotions to come between my relationship with Christ. But allowing my spiritual walk to guide and convict me at all times.
I love Him and want to see heaven and live with Him there. Living here on earth and seeing all the everyday chaos draws me closer to Him, and I realize there is a better place awaiting me.
I just need to keep my eyes on Him and my heart in the heart of His. This means I cannot fill it with poison. So I choose to love those who despise me. I choose to love those who are bitter. I choose to not be provoked but to allow God to fight my battles. I choose to follow His commandments as my “Master!”
I strive to “Capture His Heart “♥

Hey Shenine! Oh what a great choice you’ve made. Continue to let your light shine…it really shines bright. Stand firm in your commitment toward God. I also want to see Him in heaven. Now we only see things as though we are looking at a dim mirror, but then we will see so clear the love and glory of sovereign God. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate you being there. Continue to use your gift of exhortation to encourage the people of God.
