Organizing the Inside – Day 260 Getting The Most Out Of Time

13Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:13-15

Planning how you will use the gift of time is wise. Have you ever looked up and noticed almost the entire day had slipped away? Have you felt disappointed when you were unable to complete all the things on your “to do” lists? Time is a very important part of our Christian life and whether we’ve used it wisely, I suspect is something we will have to give an account for. The compulsion to rush through to get things done is an extremely stressful way to live, especially if it is unending. If you want to make the most of your time each day, giving your plans to God is the best way to ensure a positive outcome. Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) The value you place on time and the way you spend it will have eternal and lasting consequences. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NIV)

God has a timetable that we must adhere to. There is an appointment in time that each of us will have to keep. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27 (KJV) Being ready for that appointment has everything to do with what we do and how we use our time on this earth. 15See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-17 Knowing God’s purpose for your life will allow you to reach unimagined potential and accomplish more than you ever thought possible in far less time. By committing each day to God and submitting to His plans you’ll find the confidence needed to face the difficulties of today and overcome the obstacles of tomorrow.

If you need to refocus you attention to do those things that are most important to fulfilling God’s plan for your life, take time now to consider what needs to change. Do it now! By putting it off for later you likely won’t get around to doing it.  Make a list and start changing how you spend your time. Ask God two very important questions about your time:
1. What things are you spending time on that He wants you to stop doing?
2. What things are you not spending time on that He wants you to start doing?

Amen. In all things I do, or say involves God. God is the provider, giver of life. Thats what I been trying to say. If you can plan a day without the Lord being involved something is wrong. When you have a relationship you will began to seek Him on the smallest, simple things. Example: Someone was in need of something, I was going to go buy it but God spoke to my heart and said for me to give out of my closet. I believe God was testing me on my words of saying, “material things have no value in my life, but you do Lord”. I gave a special dress out of my closet to someone in need. I was even rejoicing in giving it because it felt good to see how grateful she was to receive it. Liz, when I am working in the yard, I am still praising God with a smile. I cut the grass with a smile because I have my limbs, strength and right mind. Somebody wants to be in the yard but can’t get out of bed. Somebody wants to cook a meal but have no family to cook for. Somebody is homeless, but you and I have a home with a husband and a family. God is awesome, say it loud with Love, don’t whisper it. When God gets a hold of you it can’t be contained. Glory to God…Oh precious Lord I will rejoice because at 2lbs 2oz, I was not suppose to be here but God had/has a purpose for me. You all are that purpose to share His goodness. I am not a victim but a Victor. I am a walking testimony with a heart after God’s Own Heart ♥

Love you Liz, may God outpour His heart unto your and suffocate you with His love.

Shenine, God knew exactly what He placed inside of you at 2lbs 2oz; He foreknew the lives and hearts you would touch. So great to see how you are using your gifts to make a difference. Yes, let redeemed of the Lord say so!! Rejoice because your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. How awesome to know His will and experience the fulfillment that comes from a life of (obedience) doing His will. Thank you for sharing!
