Organizing the Inside – Day 254 Honor The Only Wise, True and Living God

5“To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal? 6Some people pour out their silver and gold and hire a craftsman to make a god from it. Then they bow down and worship it! 7They carry it around on their shoulders, and when they set it down, it stays there. It can’t even move! And when someone prays to it, there is no answer. It can’t rescue anyone from trouble. 8“Do not forget this! Keep it in mind! Remember this, you guilty ones. 9Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. 10Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. Isaiah 46:5-10 (NLT)

Where does wisdom come from?
Many seek answers from meaningless sources. Consulting the dead and fortune tellers they will never find true direction. Only God can give direction for life, happiness and hope. Any other direction is false and misleading, causing unsuspecting victims to go even further astray. Our God is the only wise and loving God. No one holds Him up or sustains Him with bread. 1This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place? 2My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine.I, the Lord, have spoken! “I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word. Isaiah 66:1, 2 (NLT)

Who has the answers that man searches for?
Quick solutions are the way to go, at least that’s what many think who want their lives to change instantly. Lottery tickets line the drawers of those who look for quick answers to resolve the hurt and ease the pain. Their many tickets represent broken dreams left in ruins by a god that never did have any answers. So many are lost in desperation, they reach out to gods that cannot move and have no power. Made of silver and gold so shiny and bright, bringing thoughts that seem to whisper obscurities in the darkness, yet not one living word will come forth from its mouth. Don’t allow yourself to be tempted to pursue anything other than God for direction and security. You must remember He who carried you in the past. Remember there is nothing or no one who can compare to our God, the only living and truly all-wise God. 4At his command the oceans dry up, and the rivers disappear… 5In his presence the mountains quake, and the hills melt away; the earth trembles, Nahum 1:4a, 5 (NLT) Give honor to God, and worship only Him.
