Organizing the Inside – Day 246 Have You Checked Your Fruit Basket Lately?

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25 (NIV)

How does one keep in step with the Spirit?
One of the most familiar verses in the bible, which is frequently used to speak about our attitude toward others, is Galatians chapter 5. Every Christian should make this list a regular part of their spiritual checkup. If you ever feel that your walk is off-balance, go through this checklist and make the necessary adjustments.

Love – Do my actions show the love of Christ?

Joy – Does my disposition express joy even when facing adverse circumstances?

Peace – Do others find courage though the peaceful life they observe in me?

Longsuffering – Do I keep the faith and wait patiently for God to fulfill His Word in my life?

Goodness – Do I look for the good in every situation?

Faithfulness – Do I keep commitments I’ve made and do so without complaining?

Gentleness – Do I approach challenging people and circumstances with a gentle kindness?

Self-Control – Do I rely on the Holy Spirit and follow His direction instead of my flesh?

Amen Liz, Glory to God for the fruit basket of holiness. Keeping ourselves clean and pure in heart before the Holy One. Our basket of fruit must be ripe and sweet before the Lord. Not sour, bitter and without love and patience.

Liz, keep moving in Gods grace. I love you.
