Organizing the Inside – Day 244 Keep Things Positive
23I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. 24I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. Mark 11:23, 24 (NLT)
The Word of God teaches us that anything is possible if we’d believe.
Do we really believe that? Sure we do, for the most part, but moving from where you are to where God wants to you to be is sometimes not so easy. If you want to live the truth found in the scriptures, not just any old measure of faith will do. Jesus said faith the size of a mustard seed, was all that is needed to get results. Now mustard seeds are pretty small; I keep a few on my desk to remind me of all the possibilities which are mine through Jesus Christ. True, real, pure faith only requires a small amount to put things in motion.
Learn to focus on the positive.
Ms. Melancholy, sometimes has her tendencies to highlight what‘s wrong instead of the positive. She likes the positive as much as the next gal, but she has been known to view it differently than others. She thinks, if it’s positive hey, why mess with it? Let’s focus on what’s wrong so that we can fix it. If you tend to think like her, in spite of all that positive energy spent toward the problem this method of “attack the wrong” is very flawed at best. Let’s denounce sin, I agree; but performance and productivity are always increased through a positive attitude.
Let’s consider the benefits of focusing on the positive.
1. You accomplish much more when you are focused on doing what you do best.
2. You are more effective when you spend your time maximizing the possibilities.
3. Looking toward the positive possibilities gives you a plan of action that you can carry out now.
Have faith in God.
Take those strengths and capitalize on all that you can accomplish, no more focusing on what you can’t accomplish. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 (NLT)
You have “the measure” of faith, now consider the mustard seed. …God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3c (KJV) “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Matthew 17:20 (NLT) Learn to rely upon and hear the Word of God. In all situations make God’s Word the final authority. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (KJV) Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. Mark 11:22 (NLT) I encourage you to allow yourself to believe in the possibilities of an omnipotent God, who lives inside your heart. By focusing on the positive and moving forward to maximize the potential of your talents, abilities, gifts and skills, you will surely experience great success.
