Organizing the Inside 365 Days

Empowering Christian Women To Get Organized and Discover God's Plan for Their Lives

Organizing the Inside – Day 181 It’s Time To Finish What You Began

Now finish what you began, so that your eagerness to do so may be matched by your eagerness to complete it. 2 Corinthians 8:11  (NIV)

God always provides.
We see how He provides for the birds. They don’t just wait for worms to fall out of the sky onto golden plates that sit beneath the clouds. The birds don’t place an order for worms at the drive through window and pick up their meal at the end of the line. Like people, the birds have to do the work. They dig and work to get worms out of the ground. God is faithful to provide the birds with everything they need to live. They know how to dig; the soil is soft enough for them to dig and they even seem to know where to dig. God sets them up for success. He also provides sticks and other supplies birds need to build their nests, but it’s up to the birds to take their knowledge and put it to work. There is never a need to worry about where the provisions are coming from; but it is necessary to do the work to get what has been provided. Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Matthew 6:26 (NLT)

Preparation and planning is only for a season.
For many Christians with a dream, instead of taking action and doing the work many spend all their time making preparations to do the work. They gather knowledge, gain helpful insights, set goals and ambitiously write out elaborate plans about what they will one day start doing. These are all very important steps that do take time to complete; but sometimes we get so caught up in preparing to do, that we never start doing. Our knowledge and preparations are only potential for success. Success only comes when our preparations give way to our actions.

Avoid the common trap of preparation paralysis.
Surely you must do the research, gain the knowledge, seek counsel and make plans. Keep in mind knowledge is ongoing and plans should be flexible and able to adapt to unexpected circumstances. Perhaps God is saying the planning and preparation time is coming to a close and it’s time to spring into action. Dreams are far more likely to happen when we spend more time praying while we are taking action, rather than talking about what we are going to do one day when we finish praying. The people who are talking about their dreams aren’t truly living them. For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words. Ecclesiastes 5:3
It is those who move, and take action steps toward living their dreams, who one day discover they are living their passion and all their dreams, through hard work have come true. Today’s the day to activate your knowledge and turn all your plans into action. Consider the birds, they aren’t chirping about the beautiful nests they are going to build; they are busy building. They already have all that they need. If God provides for the birds, He most definitely has also provided for us.
