Organizing the Inside – Day 166 Forming the Right Partnership
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. ~Proverbs 3:6
Create a partnership
Living the Christian life means creating a partnership with the Lord. God put certain strengths within you to enable you to fulfill His plan for your life. Your TAGS- talents, abilities, gifts and skills are tools to help you succeed. Your partnership with God requires a certain level of trust. You must trust that He knows everything you need to carry out His will in the earth. You need God’s help, and you don’t have to do things on your own. … Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5
Focus on doing what you are good at
Many Christian women, especially those who are entrepreneurs and business leaders tend to wear too many hats. We try to take on assignments that are often outside of our ability and skill set. This generally doesn’t save much money in the end it only results in added expenses. You end up having to pay someone to fix the mess you made, because you weren’t focused on doing what you’re good at. It’s important to be flexible, but trying to do everything will only produce poor results. God has given you strengths for a reason; He wants you to use them to do His will. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. Romans 12:6
Move out of God’s way
It is in God’s best interest for you to be prosperous. This is also part of His “big-picture” plan for every Christian. If something in your life needs to grow, change or be developed that is clearly the work of the Holy Spirit, not yours. We cannot change anything about ourselves. We can only take steps to yield, but God makes the changes in us. We have to trust God, obey His commands and listen carefully to hear His voice. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8
Change is not our responsibility nor is it something we are fit or equipped to do. Do you feel like there are areas in your life that are not growing? Perhaps there are things about you that you have tried to change in the past. Maybe you’ve determined enough is enough; and you could be right in your assessment that change is needed. Allow God to change you. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18
The possibilities are unlimited when we form the right kind of partnership with the Lord. Allow God do His part, by first accepting the TAGS you were given, and then by relinquishing control and allowing Him to fix anything that is broken.
Trust Him, He will guide you
God wants to lead you down the plain paths of truth for His name’s sake. It’s not supposed to be complicated. He wants you to get organized on the inside, and simply do the good that you know to do now. The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? Proverbs 20:24 Focus on what you are good at. Yield to Him and He will make His strength perfect in your weaknesses. Create a level of trust in your partnership that says, “Okay God you made me who I am, the way I am, and all that I have is yours.” Give yourself permission to be the authentic woman God has made you. Sure there is more internal work to be done, but God has it covered! Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. Hebrews 10:35
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. Jude 1:24,25
