Organizing the Inside – Day 123 Like Ripples In A Pond
We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation. 10For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers,as you still do. 11Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. 12Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance. ~Hebrews 6:9b-12
Who cares?
God sees and cares. He knows your labor and will reward you for all you do. You have demonstrated your love for the Lord through the work you do and God does not take that lightly. By using the (TAGS) talents, abilities, gifts and skills God has given you, you help bring about positive change in the hearts and lives of others. Your work is of great benefit to the Kingdom of Christ and you must not become tired or bored but be steadfast in your labor. “I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance… Revelation 2:2a,b
Your ministry matters.
No matter how small or large, the numbers aren’t important. Remember that for every life you reach, that person is reaching others, and the lives that they touch, reach even more. Consider the ripples in a pond, because of one rock thrown into the water. Your ministry is like that rock and the effects of that one rock in water spreads wide. So be encouraged and aim high when reaching for your dreams. Be resilient and bounce back from any small set backs. You decided to honor God and not bury your talents, but to invest them and God will honor you with a great reward. “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ Matthew 25:23
Keep your focus on love.
There are those who simply don’t understand why you do what you do. Love is the most important thing about what you do to help others. It is your love that compels you to give of your time, money, energy, and self to do the work of the ministry. If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. For Christ’s love compels us… 2 Corinthians 5:13, 14
Keep your focus and may your heart of compassion endure. Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. Psalm 112:4
As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good.
2 Thessalonians 3:13
