Organizing the Inside – Day 93 When My Faith Is Challenged
The loins den is that place or thing that goes against us and challenges our faith. It’s that place where we have to trust God and not rely on what we think we know.
What can you do now to organize your lifestyle so that you can stand when adversity comes? How do you keep from giving in to pressure to be like the world? Let’s look at the life of Daniel. Daniel put a few things in place in his life before the opposition came; therefore he was able to stand strong in the face of adversity.
#1. Use your TAGS to do exceptional work for God.
When you follow God’s purpose for your life your talents, abilities, gifts and skills will glorify Him. Many Christians have TAGS that they are either not using at all or are not using to glorify God. 3Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. Daniels gifts made room for him and the king planned to give him a place of great honor.
#2 Live above reproach by being honest and trustworthy.
You must live your life to please God and avoid looking for approval or acceptance by others. Daniel’s life honored God. 4At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.
#3 Live your life blameless and honor those in authority.
21Daniel answered, “O king, live forever! 22My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king.”
#4 Have a strong prayer life.
When your prayer life is strong, you can withstand temptation. Set up a plan for regular prayer time and fellowship with God and don’t allow anything to jeopardize it. 10Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.
#5 Trust God to save you no matter how your situation looks.
Daniel trusted God. 23The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
