Organizing the Inside 365 Days

Empowering Christian Women To Get Organized and Discover God's Plan for Their Lives

Organizing the Inside – Day 68 Are You Wearing Any Shoes?

There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.
~ Proverbs 16: 25

Have you ever met anyone who says I’ve been a Christian all my life?
Or perhaps you’ve heard before, ” I’m a good person.”  Each Sunday churches are full of good people who believe that by going to church each week they are fulfilling an acceptable standard of righteousness that qualifies them to inherit the kingdom of God. They proclaim their good standing with the community and sincerely believe they are ready to face what awaits them on the other side of eternity. They wear their works as badges of high honor, “I help people.”

“I go to Church!”
Sue told the woman as the woman attempted to share the gospel with her.  Sue was unwilling to listen since she’d grown up in the “church” and was quite familiar with, how to wave her handkerchief just so, as the pastor raised his voice, shouting, “Can I get an amen?” Sue doesn’t realize her path will lead to death. As Christian women we meet people everyday who have a form of godliness but deny the power.  What are we to do?  Sometimes these are the hardest people to witness to because they have made up their own minds that they are good people, they never hurt anyone so that in itself gives them the right to spend eternal life with the King.  Nothing could be further from the truth. In John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

What do you do when you meet someone who has a form?
Are you ready with your shoes on? How do you go about sharing the good news of peace with them?  Let’s start a discussion, this will help so many?  Post your comment below, I’d love to hear from you.
