Organizing the Inside – Day 64 Unclutter at Once

12Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”  ~ Luke 12:15

Less could very well mean more.
If you want a life of serenity that includes the freedom to enjoy simplicity then, less is definitely more. How many times have you consider getting out of the rat race that is wearing you out?  How many times have you wondered if you could give it all up and find a less complicate lifestyle?  My dreams of moving to the country and having a small scarcely furnished home on the beach with minimal possessions, tends to run through my mind each time I feel myself suck up by the cares of my sometimes fast-moving life on the go.

Start first with what you already have.
That’s where most of the stress comes from anyway. Perhaps it’s time to reevaluate all the activities that fill your busy schedule; especially those that at one time used to be fun but now they seem like a chore.  Go ahead and deal with the guilt up front and allow yourself the liberty found in learning to say no, or even no way.

Is life too messy to receive the Word of God?
Are you so busy with activities, commitments and your “things to do list”, that the cares of this life choke out any word that is planted?  If so, now is the time to do something about it.  Decluttering your space, your closets, your car, your schedule and your commitments will indeed declutter your life. God wants you to turn down the volume on all those things that speak so loudly in your life, and listen to His still, small voice telling you He wants you to find peace in Him.  Also read Matthew 11:13
